Admin Quick Links V2.1
====================

Changelog:

15/06/2026 Reissued as V2 to add function to auto update database. Also added menu item to the admin - tools menu. Also added the capability to change colour of individual menu boxes.

20/06/2026 Reissued as V2.1 Full Package with update instructions below. This version corrects the placing of the menu bar on custom pages, credit to @dan cole. It also corrects the error spotted by @martindavinci where the menu bar was being shown on invoices and packing slips.

What it does:
-------------
There are several internal and external links that I visit often from my admin page. To save time looking for the link in the standard admin menu or typing in an external link I like to have a separate set of buttons on the admin screen that allow instant access to whatever links you visit often.

New Installation:
-----------------

1) Copy the 3 provided files into your admin directory, respecting the folder structure.

2) On your admin page, go to the Tools Menu You will see a new entry called "Quick Links Manager." if not refresh the page and it should appear.

3) Click on this entry - this will take you to the quick links manager page

4) You can now add/remove menu items, assign icons to your new links and choose the button colour. - press "save all links"

4) In the "exclude Pages" box add, as a minimum invoice.php and packing_slip.php each on anew line in the box. Also add here any custom pages you generate such as label prins etc.

6) Navigate to any admin page to test your new quick access links which should appear at the top. Enjoy!

7) Internal links should have the format filename.php and external links should be the full path ie https://www.site.com

Updating from other versions
----------------------------

1) Simply copy the 3 files to the correct locations, refresh your admin page. That's it!

Troubleshooting:
----------------

If your links do not appear after installation, please clear your cache/ directory to force the system to refresh the hook registry.

If you are using a custom Admin template and the links do not appear, ensure that your template supports standard Phoenix Cart hooks.

As usual, no responsibility is accepted for anything :)
